Dr. Patrick Steiger

Patrick Steiger is Dr. Inform. of the University of Zurich. He has over 17 years of professional experience as a business IT specialist, the last few years as a requirements engineer, usability engineer, project manager and test manager in mostly casted IT projects at banks.

Prior to that, he worked for several years as an IT consultant and project manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Since 2009 he has been a partner at Infometis AG (a consulting firm in Zurich with 12 experts).

The focus of his work is on IT project work. Patrick Steiger prefers to assume the role of Requirements Engineer and Interaction Designer. He strives to be user-centered and to achieve the highest possible usability in the iterative specification and evaluation of user interfaces.

In addition to his project work, Patrick is a part-time lecturer for user-centered requirements engineering at the Master of Advanced Studies for Human-Computer Interaction Design (MAS HCID) at the University of Basel/Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil.
