British Computer Society (BCS)

The British Computer Society offers a variety of diplomas for professional development. Within the diploma Business Analysis there is a certificate Requirements Engineering. This certificate pretty much overlaps with the CPRE Foundation Level certificate. Therefore BCS and IREB have come to an agreement that:

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)

IREB and IIBA have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to mutually promote and advance the discipline of Requirements Engineering and the discipline of Business Analysis as complementary approaches.

IREB and IIBA will mutually explore several options and opportunities for potential collaboration and alignment.

The following are the primary goals and objectives for a co-operative alliance between IREB and IIBA:


International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB®)

IREB® and the international Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB®) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to mutually promote and advance the discipline of Requirements Engineering and the discipline of Software Architecture as complementary approaches.

International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA)

The International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) offers syllabi and certifications for Software Product Management professionals. IREB has entered into an agreement with ISPMA to jointly promote and advance the Requirements Engineering and Software Product Management disciplines as complementary approaches.


International Software Quality Institute (iSQI)

Certified Agile Business Analysis CABA is part of iSQI® Agile Teaming product line.

Agile Teaming is a Special Interest Group brought together by iSQI® - International Software Quality Institute.

iSQI® Agile Teaming Certification sets standards for ensuring effective contribution and positive collaboration within an Agile team; helping the team work together to achieve continuous delivery of valuable software that meet the changing needs of the customer.

IREB® highly recommends the iSQI® Certified Agile Business Analysis Training and Certification program to anyone who wishes to extend their IREB® CPRE core skills and Business Analysis in an agile context.


International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®)

The International Software Testing Qualifications Board, ISTQB® and IREB® have entered into an alliance to further promote the software testing and requirements engineering professions together. As the first step the terms defined by ISTQB® and IREB® and the ISTQB® / IREB® glossaries will be aligned.

International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB)

IREB and UXQB have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the purpose to promote and advance the discipline of Requirements Engineering and the discipline of Usability / User Experience Engineering as complementary approaches.

IREB and UXQB will mutually explore options and opportunities for alignment, cross marketing activities and promotion of each other’s certification offerings and events.
